ERA Earns Hong Kong Water Supplies Department Approval for PE Piping Systems and uPVC Ball Valves

Taizhou, China — ERA Piping (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of plastic piping systems, today announced that its PE100 piping systems and UPVC ball valves have been granted General Acceptance by the Hong Kong Water Supplies Department (WSD).

This milestone marks a significant expansion of ERA's certified product portfolio for the Hong Kong market, reinforcing the company's position as a trusted supplier of safe, high-quality water infrastructure solutions.

PE Pipes and Fittings：Full-Range Approval

The Hong Kong WSD has issued two General Acceptance certificates covering ERA's complete PE100 product range：

ZA20260012 — PE Pipes：PE100 pipes in SDR11 (DN20–DN630) and SDR17 (DN75–DN630)

ZA20260013 — PE Fittings：PE100 fittings in SDR11, SDR13.6, and SDR17, including:

Electrofusion fittings：90° elbows, 45° elbows, equal tees, reducing tees, and reducers (DN20–DN200)

Butt fusion fittings：90° elbows, 45° elbows, straight tees, reducing tees, reducing sockets, and reducing crosses (DN63–DN400)

Both certificates approve the products for use in fresh water plumbing systems and flushing water plumbing systems, with a validity period extending to May 27, 2031.

The approval is backed by ERA's BSI Kitemark licences (KM654656 for pipes, KM654681 for fittings) on BS EN 12201, as well as WRAS approval No. 2207543 demonstrating compliance with BS 6920 for contact with potable water. Enhanced metals extraction testing (barium, cadmium, copper) conducted by Fugro Technical Services Limited further confirms the products' safety for drinking water applications.

UPVC Ball Valves：Trusted Performance

In addition to PE systems, ERA's uPVC ball valves have also received WSD General Acceptance under certificate B20250008F. The approval covers four models across a comprehensive size range:

UCB01, UTB01, USU01：20mm – 110mm (9 sizes each)

UCB05：20mm – 63mm (6 sizes)

All valves are grey UPVC ball valves bearing WRAS approval number 2201048, approved for flushing water plumbing systems.
