In the vast land of northwest China, Turpan is renowned worldwide for its unique landforms and extreme climate.

Turpan, Xinjiang

Here, the highest temperature in summer can reach 49℃, and the surface temperature often exceeds 70℃. The annual precipitation is less than 20 millimeters, while the evaporation exceeds 3,000 millimeters. It is known as the "hottest place in China". According to actual measurement records, the highest temperature once reached 47.8℃, and the surface temperature even hit an extreme high of 89℃.

Enter the market: Face the severe test of high temperatures

For water supply pipelines, such a harsh environment is nothing less than an endless “barbecue” ordeal.

The southern mining area of Turpan is located in the desert plain about 80 kilometers south of Gaochang District. It is a key industrial park of Xinjiang Autonomous Region and its construction progress is highly valued.

However, under extremely high temperatures, ordinary steel pipes are prone to thermal expansion and deformation when continuously exposed to high heat. And the joints are likely to leak. Plastic pipes also have problems such as accelerated aging and insufficient pressure-bearing capacity. What's more complicated is that the pipeline routes need to pass through various terrains including continuous deserts, rugged gobi, and even national-level wetland reserves, which impose extremely high requirements on engineering design and construction.

In response to this particular challenge, ERA Pipeline has provided a comprehensive professional solution. In the 30-kilometer water supply project, the two core products of ERA HDPE wire mesh reinforced composite pipe and HDPE water supply pipe delivered a perfect performance of “dancing with high temperatures”.

Break through the deadlock: Win the battle for the pipeline

ERA's HDPE water supply pipes are like the “resilient guardians” in the Gobi. They maintain rigidity and stability under high temperatures, ensuring the efficiency of water supply for living and production in the mining area.

1、More than 350% elongation at break

2、Pipes are less likely to soften or deform under high temperatures

3、Even with long-term water supply, scaling is not likely to occur

ERA steel wire mesh composite pipe is based on a core structure of “high-strength steel wire mesh + high-temperature-resistant HDPE”, precisely matching the water supply requirements of the high-pressure main pipelines in the mining area. It can excellently handle complex geological conditions such as deserts and gobi, as well as uneven subsidence. Even when crossing national wetland protection areas, it can still ensure safety and reliability.

Facing the triple challenges of continuous high temperatures, intense ultraviolet radiation and complex geological conditions in the Gobi during summer, ERA adhered to its three core principles of “quality, speed and extreme adaptability”. With a 40-day intense production period, it successfully delivered a 30-kilometer water supply pipeline system precisely.

The successful implementation of this project is like injecting arterial blood vessels into the southern mining industrial park of Turpan. As a result, the entire park was able to start construction and ushered in a new opportunity for development.

From“limited by the environment” to “Break through the situation by relying on the pipes”, ERA demonstrated with its “good pipes are not afraid of fire testing” hard-core strength that truly high-quality pipes are not afraid of the strict tests of extreme environments.

BuildingsOverall Plan: Build an engineering matrix

From Harbin, which remains steadfast like a rock even in extremely low temperatures, to the Kuantan Industrial Park in Malaysia that endures the tropical climate; from the Confucius Institute in Malawi in Africa that withstands the tests of scorching heat and torrential rain, to the high-speed rail hubs, airport runways, chemical parks and coastal high-salt environments all over the world... ERA is using technology as its pen and quality as its ink, writing the resilient footnotes of “wisdom in China” in the extreme challenges of extreme cold and heat, heavy rain, and high loads.
