ERA Expands Global Footprint: ERA Vietnam Officially Commences Production

On October 28th, a grand opening ceremony was held for ERA Vietnam Piping Co., Ltd., marking the official commissioning of ERA Group’s 5th overseas manufacturing/operation base and a significant step forward in ERA’s global layout. Distinguished guests including Zhang Jianjun, Founder and Chairman of the Board of ERA Group, Van Nguyen Minh Triet, Deputy Director of Duc Hoa Customs, Nguyen Tien Diep, Deputy Manager of Xindu Industrial Park, as well as representatives from Chinese industry associations and outstanding enterprises, attended the ceremony and participated in the ribbon-cutting for ERA Vietnam, witnessing this important milestone together.

At the opening ceremony, Zhang Hangyuan, Deputy General Manager of ERA Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Zhejiang ERA, delivered a speech on behalf of ERA Co., Ltd. She extended a warm welcome to all leaders and guests present, congratulated ERA Vietnam on its successful commissioning, and expressed sincere gratitude to leaders from all sectors and company colleagues who had supported the preparation of ERA Vietnam.

Zhang Hangyuan pointed out that ERA Vietnam is a strategic layout of the Group based on in-depth insights into the global market, representing a solid step taken by ERA on its internationalization journey. The official commissioning is not only the completion of a factory, but also a solemn commitment to customers, an in-depth exploration of the industry’s future, and a demonstration of the strength and responsibility of Chinese enterprises and brands. She expressed the hope that, taking this commissioning as an opportunity, ERA will further enhance its global competitiveness and work with employees, partners and the public to create shared value and enjoy common prosperity.

Nguyen Tien Diep, Deputy Manager of Xindu Industrial Park, congratulated ERA Vietnam on its opening and commissioning in his speech. He stated that Vietnam, as a vital and dynamic economy in ASEAN, is in a golden period of rapid industrialization and urbanization, with broad development prospects and great potential. ERA’s decision to establish a presence in Vietnam fully reflects the strategic vision and pioneering spirit of the Group’s senior management. He sincerely wished ERA a prosperous future and everlasting development.

Currently, the "going global" strategy of Chinese enterprises has evolved from simple market expansion to a strategic leap from "product export" to "capacity export". Located in Xindu Industrial Park, Tay Ninh Province, ERA Vietnam covers an area of over 10,000 square meters, with a designed annual capacity of more than 4,000 tons in the first phase. The park plans to deploy more than 50 production lines, covering manufacturing processes such as injection molding, extrusion and assembly, and producing a full range of products including CPVC, PVC pipes, pipe fittings and valves, which are widely used in municipal engineering, construction, home decoration, industry, agriculture and other fields.

As ERA’s first overseas "smart factory" for pipe manufacturing, ERA Vietnam is a new starting point and practice for the Group to explore the overseas implementation of "intelligent manufacturing". Through standardized overall design, introduction of automated equipment, lean production management and intensive energy supply, ERA Vietnam achieves high-quality operation of the entire product line and industrial chain. The base has introduced more than 300 sets of advanced automated equipment, including KraussMaffei extruders, automatic water, electricity and material supply systems, 4-axis manipulators, and automatic ball valve embedding equipment, improving quality through intelligence and continuously accumulating new productive forces. Meanwhile, the establishment of ERA (Vietnam) Overseas Research Institute will support the localized and personalized R&D of products, cover the whole-process and full-cycle quality inspection of products, and continuously release scientific and technological innovation momentum.

China and Vietnam are geographically adjacent, with deep political mutual trust, close cultural integration and shared destiny. Under the framework of the "Belt and Road" Initiative, Chinese enterprises have a favorable environment to develop in Vietnam. From the launch of the project in June last year, to the arrival of equipment and acquisition of business qualifications in June this year, and now to the official operation, ERA’s global footprint has been continuously expanded. In the future, ERA Vietnam will become an important manufacturing base and export hub for ERA to deepen its presence in Southeast Asia and expand into the American market, providing strong support for the Group to optimize its global capacity layout, enhance global delivery capabilities, reduce export operation costs and mitigate trade friction risks.

After the ceremony, the participants visited ERA Vietnam’s intelligent workshop, R&D and testing center, and product exhibition hall, and held exchange discussions.
