Recently, the ISO/TC 138 "Plastics pipes, fittings and valves for the transport of fluids" plenary meeting (the 2025 annual meeting of the ISO/TC 138 Technical Committee) was held in South Korea. Huang Jian, Vice General Manager and Chief Engineer of ERA Co., Ltd., attended the meeting as the head of the Chinese Mirror Committee expert delegation, representing China by delivering statements and conducting technical exchanges.

During the conference, the organizing committee also held a working meeting for the ISO 9853 international standard, led by ERA. Sun Huali, Director of the ERA Technology Center, reported on the standard text, prior voting, and various tasks, and engaged in in-depth discussions with experts from Germany, the United States, South Korea, Australia, and other countries on the technical content of the standard. Substantial progress was made in the compilation of the ISO 9853 international standard

ERA joined the work of SAC/TC48/SC3 as early as 1999. Leveraging national-level innovation platforms such as the National Enterprise Technology Center, National Postdoctoral Research Workstation, China Plastic Pipe Engineering Technology R&D Center, and China Light Industry High-Performance Plastic Pipe Engineering Technology Research Center, the company has consistently prioritized industry standardization efforts, leading the healthy development of the sector. Simultaneously, it actively participates in international standardization work, winning more respect and a greater voice for Chinese industries and enterprises.

In October 2015, ERA led a delegation for the first time to attend the International Organization for Standardization ISO/TC138 annual meeting in Berlin, Germany. Over the past decade, ERA has repeatedly attended meetings in Switzerland, Austria, France, and other countries, and co-organized the 2018 ISO/TC138 Hangzhou annual meeting. ERA has consistently made efforts and contributions to the industry's standardization work. As the chairperson unit of the 7th Subcommittee 3 on Plastic Pipes, Fittings, and Valves of the National Technical Committee 48 on Plastic Products of Standardization Administration of China, technical personnel from ERA have successively become registered experts of the International Organization for Standardization.
From "Manufacturing Going Global" to "Standards Going Global," and from being a "follower" of industry rules to a "shaper" of them, the business adage that "first-class enterprises set the standards" has also made the path of high-quality "Made in China" going global steadfast and confident.
